The Pursuit of Happiness

after the holidays. im taking a vacation. im going somewhere. else. i havent decided where. me. my camera. im going to take a semester off school. off full time work. im quitting my job come summer if not sooner. im going to write a book. make a movie. i dont know how yet. i suppose ill need to work my ass off finding some way to support myself. life is so short. the people i love could die tomorrow. in a year. who knows. its far too short to be miserable. and i MAKE myself miserable in the pursuit of money. material things. when i met everyone that night, they seemed so well off. for the first time in my life i wasnt scared to age anymore. i wasnt afraid of getting old. everyone there was dancing and just...insanely happy. old enough to be my grandparents (and some were) but so much happier than me. i realized they had so little worry because they had the means to make their lives what they wanted. they were happy because they didnt have to worry about rent and bills and transportation. but the truth is misery makes your life more miserable. if i find a way to be happy, ill find a way to make my life stable and become the person i want to be. and i have to do it. with or without mikey or this apartment or this city or state or country. who knows. all i know is im going to find happiness or die trying.
